What really is Google Traffic about and why is it so important? Well, anyone having a website will want people to visit it and ready the information published. As a matter of fact, the website has been built to eventually share information or sell products/services to potential clients. This means that the website will actually worth nothing without good website traffic.

Internet Traffic Empowers a Website

This is something clear. The website does not mean much to someone who has never visited it. What really makes a website powerful and or value is in fact its power to sell (convert) and such is only achievable when the website receive a lot of internet traffic. The more the number of visitors, the more is the potential of the website.

Google/Internet Traffic

It’s true that most traffic (visitors) comes from the internet itself. This can however be through divers means and different sources. Website traffic could be coming from different search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing but also from other sources like forums, blogs, emails/newsletter, social networks etc… One of the best source however is from the search engines and especially from Google, i.e. Google Traffic.

What is Google Traffic?

‘Google Traffic’ is simply traffic/visitors coming to the website while doing a search in Google. Being the most used among the search engines, Google delivers relevant and quality search results and thus can send targeted traffic to your website. Google targeted traffic means more conversion into sales.

Measuring Traffic using Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a free tool offered by Google to measure and monitor your website traffic. All you have to do to start using Analytics is to sign up with an account at http://google.com/analytics/ and place some code on your website. Once this done, you can then use the Analytics Dashboard which provides a lot of useful information about where your traffic are coming from, the sources and also the keywords being typed in by visitors in the search engines. Google Analytics is indeed a great tool to monitor your site’s traffic; search engines and Google traffic and other sources of traffic with which information you can further optimize and better your website.
